Apply for a loan

To apply for a loan with Finance Made Easy, for a vehicle or something personal, apply online whenever suits you. Rather talk it through first? Answer the quick questions here and we aim to call you within 15 minutes during business hours. Either way, we aim to give you a quick initial decision, often within the hour, and funding usually follows within 24 to 48 hours once approved. Applying is not an offer of finance.

How it works

How can I apply for a loan immediately?

You can start now: apply online straight away, or answer the quick questions here and we aim to call you within 15 minutes during business hours. Every application is still checked properly, so nothing is instant, but it is quick to start.

  1. 01

Apply online, or ask us to call

Apply online when it suits you. Or tell us here what you need, roughly how much, and a little about your work and income. It is an enquiry, not a credit check.

  2. 02

Talk it through, if you want to

If you asked us to call, we aim to ring within 15 minutes during business hours and can take your application over the phone. It usually takes 5 to 10 minutes.

  3. 03

    Get an initial decision

We aim to come back with an initial decision quickly, often within the hour during business hours. Final approval still depends on verification and lender criteria.

  4. 04

    Verify your details

The lender confirms who you are and what you earn, usually with your driver licence, proof of address and proof of income.

  5. 05

    Receive your funds

Once your loan is approved, funding usually follows within 24 to 48 hours.

Before you start

What do you need to apply for a loan in New Zealand?

Most applications are verified with three things: your driver licence, proof of address and proof of income. Having them to hand makes applying quicker, online or by phone. For more detail, read what you need to apply.

Have these ready

  • Your driver licence
  • Proof of address
  • Proof of income from your work
  • What the loan is for and roughly how much you need
  • Details of the vehicle, if you have found one

Who we can help

We arrange vehicle and personal loans for people whose main income comes from work. If your main income is a benefit, or you are not working at the moment, we are not able to help with a loan. MoneyTalks connects people with financial mentors and services, and may be a better place to start.

Warranty only

We arrange mechanical warranties through a range of warranty providers, with or without a loan. Choose Mechanical warranty in the first question and we come back to you with a quote, or read about mechanical warranties.

Questions

Applying, answered.

Short answers about the application itself. For anything else, call 0800 995 014.

No loan is easy to be approved for as such, because every lender assesses your income, commitments and credit history against its own criteria. Applying is simpler when you are ready: know roughly what you need, have your licence, proof of address and proof of income to hand, and estimate your repayments first.

No. The quick questions on this page are an enquiry, not a credit check. Lenders usually run a credit check, with your consent, once your full application goes to them.

Yes. Apply online and you can start your application straight away. The form on this page is for when you would rather talk first, or you can call us on 0800 995 014.

We aim to call you within 15 minutes during business hours of sending the form, with your answers in front of us so the call is short.

We only arrange loans for people whose main income comes from work, so the form ends early if your main income is a benefit or you are not working. That is not a formal credit decision, and you are welcome to enquire again if your circumstances change.
